A post on the official Bloodlines 2 website reveals that the launch date has been delayed. The post reads:
“There’s the responsibility to avoid some of the issues that plagued the first game, which was famously launched too early. Over the last few months, it became clear that to stick to original date would risk repeating that mistake. We won’t do that. In the end, everyone working on this game wants to offer you the best Bloodlines 2 we can.”
As a longtime fan of the Vampire series I am personally glad that they have delayed the game to fix bugs and polish up the final product. It is always refreshing to see a studio learn from previous mistakes and furthermore, act on them for future products. Q1 2020 is already a busy time for games with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Cyber Punk 2077, The Last of Us Part II, Dragonball Z: Kakarot and Marvel’s Avengers all slated for release, we should have plenty to do before we take a wack at Bloodlines.
If you haven’t had a chance to check this series out and vampires and gothic horror is your thing, I highly recommend it. Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption, the first in the video game series, is an oldie but a goody, letting you take control of a recently turned vampire in a 3d action RPG style game.
