Don't adjust your monitor, you've read that right. The PC smash hit game is officially coming to your gaming console and mobile device. After a decade of dominance on the PC, Riot Games has announced that starting in 2020, they will be releasing League of Legends: Wild Rift, the console counter part to the PC version with some important differences.
For starters, the user interface has changed and will use a dual-stick control scheme. The map has also been modified to better suit consoles and phones/tablets with the thought that games will now last around 15 minutes opposed to the longer rounds usually found on the PC.
Mobile users will be getting their own standalone app called Teamfight Tactics which will feature cross play compatibility with PC players.
As a console player for the last 10 years, I couldn't be more excited that League of Legends is coming out on consoles. I've recently had a PC built and it was/is on my list of PC games that I really wanted to give a go. I'm happy that I'll now have options on what to play on. Well done Riot! We'll see you in 2020!
